Conference Goals
The East Kalimantan Programme (EKP) aims to enhance and support long-term scientific cooperation in coastal zone research between research groups from Indonesia and the Netherlands. The main research topics of this conference are to distribute and discuss research on the Mahakam Delta, Berau Delta and Seagrass projects under the EKP and related projects.
Format
The conference will be comprised of two days of interactive oral and poster sessions with all attendees required to contribute actively with ideas, research questions and current knowledge. An excursion to the Mahakam Delta on the third day will allow ideas generated during the conference to be discussed further in the field.
The schedule is:
September 19 Arrival in Samarinda and icebreaker
September 20 Presentations and poster sessions at Mulawarman University, Samarinda
September 21 Presentations and poster sessions at Mulawarman University, Samarinda
September 22 Excursion to the Mahakam Delta
Participation
Should you wish to participate, you can register by sending an email to: r.a.f.dalman@tudelft.nl. Participants are encouraged to provide an oral and/or poster presentation, please send a title for the presentation with your registration. We can reserve rooms at hotel MESRA, let us know whether you wish us to book this for you.
Posters will be on display for the entire conference and time will be reserved for dedicated poster sessions. In addition participants are encouraged to bring data, examples, case studies, or simply research oriented questions as PowerPoint slides for discussion.
